  1. Ann

My eyes were set on a couple of other brands including those ones with big monitor screen, decline options and seemingly more preferred by my friends. But after 4 hrs of online research, I finally locked in Sole F85 because of the following: a bold 30 days money back guarantee even after delivered and installed, lifetime warranty on frame and motor/5 years on deck and electronics, 10 inch Android screen not bound by subscription of service and its easily accessible and friendly customer service. For family use, F85 provides the optimum merits of price, quality, warranty and tech features.

  2. Carl

The treadmill is strong. Good quality materials. Ready out of the box, meaning that I did not have to make no adjustments. Easy assembly. The reason for four stars instead of five is the humming sound coming out of the speakers. It’s constant and at times disturbing. The clock is also wrong and when you correct the time, it stays wrong. Other than that, good and strong machine

  3. Sara

I am loving my Sole treadmill. The speaker is making a high-pitched noise (even though volume is at zero), so I am working on getting that resolved, but overall the product is first-rate. The quality is very good, the unit is heavy-duty, and the run is very smooth. One note of caution, and that is that the assembly, which doesn’t seem like it should be all that difficult, is a bit of a pain in the rear. It is not complicated, but the angles that some of the screws have to be inserted are a little tricky. I wish installation & assembly were still options available from Sole — they gave me the names of some companies I could contact, but they all seemed overpriced for what I thought was going to be a simple bit of work. In retrospect, I wish I’d spent the money. But I did get it put together, and it works great, and I am happy with the product, so all’s well that ends well.

  4. Arthur

The treadmill is great. Sturdy, easy to assemble, folds up and down easily. The screen and interface not so much. First it sounds like a computer trying to use dial up internet. This is constant, and its loud. It’s also kind of glitchy which is frustrating. I was excited to use screen mirroring from my iPhone, but it hasn’t ever worked. Bummer for a tread at this price point.

  5. Madison

First of all the treadmill it self is great. Strong motor and works the way it is supposed to. My biggest gripe is with the technology….not good. Way behind the times and does not work well at all. I attach an iPad and do what I need to do. Purchase this treadmill if you want a great running experience (sturdy belt and deck). The bells and whistles are lackluster. Customer service is pretty good overall!

  6. Lawrence

Almost everything you buy in life is a tradeoff. I will gladly tradeoff the subscription-required frills of the competitors for the simple, high durability focus of the Sole F85. It has everything and more that a driven, self-motivated runner/walker could ask for. It is a tool and it fulfills that role very well. I have a torn meniscus and running on the F85, while not as enjoyable as running on the street, greatly reduces impact and discomfort. This is my go to machine when my knee is hurting or it is stormy outside. It was shipped out very quickly by Sole and comes with a great warranty to boot. It is the absolute perfect treadmill for me. I am glad I took the time to research products and discovered Sole.

  7. Frances

I’ve been using this treadmill for about a month and it seems solid and had nice functionality in terms of app on the screen so you can watch Netflix or other stuff while you run. Good selection of programs to choose from. What I especially like is that unlike with NordicTrack or Pelaton, they don’t push a subscription on you and you don’t need one to get good running programs on the machine. There could be two small improvements that hopefully will happen at a software update: The volume doesn’t go high enough even at max setting and it would be nice to be able to add ads to the screen.

Technician hired were respectful & Professors for whit glove service. Sole TM is a sturdy&Quality machine. I have only hade it a month so far. No complaints! will write a follow up Feb 2023 to give a throrough annual assessment. I research multiple TM’s over 3 months. Incliuding Nordic, Horiizon, Pro form, Boflex, Peleton and the multiple Amazon offered brands mostly from China. Final choice was Sole F85 and I’m glad I did for multiple reasons. Main ones are too many to list. So I will name only 5. 1. Quality. 2. Warranty 3. Weight capacity 4. Steel side bars when stepping off from a HIIT workout. 5. Multiple trays and tablet holders. 6. Not having to join an Ifit program to start machine , although I’ve just learned through email that sole is offering a similar experience for a competitive price point, I might try it out. 7. 60x 22 inch running spec. 8. Easy folding bed up and down 9. Quiet quiet quiet 10. USB to charge my phone or tablet if needed. Ok I know I have more reasons. but so far so good. If I had any Cons for the price point I would say more fans for intense runs located at different areas high and low. Sometimes use my lap top and it blocks the main fan when I’m on a long uphill climb. But honestly it’s not a deal breaker. Btw! I am a real person who’s is anal retentive and thought about it for over two years to purchase a TM. After intense research

  9. Kathryn

This is one of the best treadmills that I have ever used. So pleased with it!

  10. Jesse

The delivery experience was fine but the fact they do not offer assembly made this extremely difficult. The weight of the machine definitely requires more than 2 people to get into the room of your choice but the delivery drops it off on a pallet the driveway. Stuff like that you can usually deal with but not when you are alone. Assembly was good until you have to match the electronics portion with the base. The screws holding the rail to it never would line up so in the end after 2 hours of dealing with it one screw was not used. It still looks nice and appears to be a quality product but knowing that diminishes the overall rating. So what slow? When you boot up and get to the point of starting your program it takes roughly 3 to 10 seconds to get to the next step which is start. Sometimes it gets there slowly but too many times it gives you an error saying try again. Considering that, the weight and lack of assembly I am not certain I would choose Sole again.

Bought based on other reviews and comparing with about 10 other models. Seems reasonably well built, but there’s still a little side to side movement of the uprights/handles. Nothing objectionable, but it is a little more than I expected after reading other reviews talking about a heavy duty frame. The base of the unit does seem very well built and solid despite the fact it can tip up to save space. Expecting a long life from the motor, belt, and base of unit which is backed up by an impressive warranty. Love the width and length of the belt, I have a hard time running on the skinnier units keep stepping off the side. I do find myself stepping on the front motor cover when fully forward using the display or handheld heart rate monitor, wish it was a bit further forward, or the upright tilted just a little further back. Again, not a severe problem, just need to get used to it. Unit is very quiet on the motor side as well as noise from footsteps. Doesn’t disturb people in other rooms when using early in the morning or late at night. I had an assembly issue, one of the bolt holes securing the console to the frame was not fully tapped bolt only when in a few turns and quit. I had to borrow a tap and carefully re-tap so the bolt would go all the way in. Little disappointing for a brand new premium unit. Rest of the assembly wasn’t too bad, a little tedious getting some of the plastic parts aligned along with the screws. Helped to have a 2nd set of hands and a head lamp to see into the recessed holes. Kind of annoying the recesses were so deep you couldn’t start by hand and had to use a screwdriver upside down while somebody else was helping to hold. The bad threads and clunky assembly were why I knocked a star off. Console/display is nice. Screen mirroring with android is clunky and it doesn’t effectively rotate use the whole screen. Wish we could add more apps to it besides the handful pre-installed and maybe features of a smart TV like Roku instead of trying to do their own version. I would have bought the more basic display but wanted the higher HP Motor, larger weight cap, and larger roller diameter only at the F85 level. So we have it and it’s fine, but might eventually get a tablet or put a smart TV in front which kinda makes the display a waste since it could have been a lot better and it does have a nice screen. The USB port is useless for charging newer smart phones because of the current limit so don’t expect to use your phone screen and actually accumulate any sort of charge at the same time. Overall not a perfect unit, but so far seems like a quality unit for the part that matters – running. Only had for about a month so I can’t comment on long term durability but from what I’ve seen so far I expect this unit to last a good long time.

Quick and easy delivery setup was a bit difficult; the screws need to be put in hard to reach places; required 2 people and a lot of extra tools to put it all together treadmill once put together works like a charm. sturdy, wide running deck. easy to use buttons. love running on it

  13. Joe

Well built, study, quiet, and has great features… so happy with this purchase

  14. Bruce

This treadmill approaches commercial gym quality treadmills at a fraction of the cost Not as many bells and whistles as some, but a solidly built tank with a substantial motor. The only question is, Will it keep its quality and hold up over years of use?.

  15. Gabriel

Love it. I’m a big guy 400 lbs and it works like a champ!

  16. Julia

I’ve had my F85 for 2 months now. It has 85 miles logged on it without a hiccup other than the belt. It ran to one side after the first couple of miles. I adjusted it and it has been perfect. Would buy again!

  17. Logan

I never owned a treadmill. This was everything and more that I needed.

  18. July

We are really happy with our treadmill

  19. Albert

I love my new Treadmill. The Sole F85 is the best treadmill I have owned. It is gym quality and I get a great workout.

  20. Grace

I would give this a four star rating just for my experience. The treadmill is awesome and I LOVE it! My experience in purchasing was not so great. Somehow in the order process two treadmills were charged and shipped to me. It is unclear due to the lack of follow up if it was my error or their error. The website would not let me complete the purchase so I had to call to order it which is no big deal. During that call I was told one thing about the ordering process and then later while trying to unwind the error was told that information provided to me was incorrect which was very confusing. They did credit me back the cost of one of the treadmills and stopped the shipment of the second one. I just received no follow up despite asking for it.

Step 6, wherein you put the covers that slide up the legs with 4 metal screws over the arms, literally took hours of trial and error, before I got two screws to find the holes on the inside. The problem is that the holes on the inside DID NOT MATCH UP to the holes on the outside, AND YOU COULD NOT SEE the inside. This meant that you had to do everything by feel, which is mostly the screws spinning in air when you turn them with the screwdriver, wiggle the arms, adjust the covers, change your angle, pick up the screw off the floor, etc., to match up them up to the inside hole, all the while cursing your fate as you realize that your back is going into spasm or that your last moments on Earth will be spent putting a treadmill together. (Oh and yes, I did this with a partner.) When I finally got one screw on each side to find the hole and tightened them down, the other two screws could not find the holes on their side (of course), so I ended up putting a couple of drops of Superglue on this side to hold the covers in place (I hope). I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a more poorly designed product (at least, this step). Please execute the engineer.

  22. Willie

Nothing but great thing about Sole so far. Excellent treadmill and great service.

  23. Denise

We had a Sole 83 for 11 years and loved it- when it came time to upgrade we naturally chose another – Sole 85- it has not disappointed! Same great construction with upgrades-

  24. Alan

Nice to see the upgrades on the new model. This is my second Sole and very happy with the experience so far. Adding Netflix to the LCD screen is a major bonus for long sessions.

  25. Doris

I’m a tall/big guy and try to run a 5k every day, and I needed a solid machine that would last through the abuse I’m gonna give it. The F85 is VERY solid with the steel frame, and not wobbly as I run (like most). It’s an amazing piece of equipment, and I enjoy running on it! I did NOT purchase it for the app features like Netflix/ABC News/YouTube or for “casting” to, as I read the reviews and had no expectations they would work. They in fact do not work for me either even after updating to the latest version, but I have a tv setup so I don’t need it. I’d rather be able to glance down at my time easily anyways, and you can set it to show you laps instead which is super cool.

  26. Amber

Was looking for a light commercial-grade treadmill for the basement gym. This machine is as solid as one you would find at a fitness center. I am pleased with the purchase and expect this to last many years and many miles of running. At 300lbs, It was a **** to get down the stairs, but it is solid. Also super quiet when running. Very glad I went with the sole.

  27. Jual

There is nothing wrong with the treadmill. There is a major problem with the equipment assembly company they use to sell you an assembly agreement.

  28. Marilyn

The purchasing process was fine, no issues. The pre installed apps don’t function. I’ve reached out to their customer support, no response. The time won’t remain as set. Mirror functions with my iPad doesn’t display. The treadmill itself functions fine, so if you’re looking for the treadmill and not all the extras, you’ll be happy with this unit.

  29. Wayne

I’m very happy with this treadmill it meets all of my expectations.

  30. Danielle

I have been enjoying my new treadmill. My belt was a little noisier than i expected and the speakers aren’t great but I am very happy with my purchase.

  31. Elijah

For many years we have had an older version of the F85. When it came time to replace it we knew we would be happy with the newer version. With supply chain issues we decided to order directly from Sole, as the best solution. Delivery was fast from a warehouse on the east coast to our home in Alabama. Then the assembly was arranged through Assembly Authority and the men actually came out on a Sunday afternoon, after church and they did a fast and excellent job carrying it upstairs and assembling it. It is a folding model but has the stability of a commercial machine. We are delighted with our purchase.

  32. Beverly

My new Sole Treadmill is totally awesome! I love everything about it except for one thing. It only has 20 bars for any workout. That means that there is no way that I could figure out to do an interval workout with only 1 min./30 sec. intervals, etc. If I do a longer workout, each interval could be as much as 3 min., etc. I would give it 5 stars if it had a screen with rolling bars. Meaning, as many bars as needed for interval workouts and not only limited to 20 bars for every workout.

  33. Randy

The product works very well and is well made. I expect it to last for a long time

  34. Isabella

I have no issue with the machine itself. It is durable and smooth operating. The only complaints are the fan – totally weak and poorly adjustable, and the preset speeds. The way the machine skips certain mph setting is a bit annoying when you have to use the manual buttons to increase or decrease the speed from the preset to where you want it one tenth of a mph at a time. However, I knew of these shortcomings when I purchased the machine and overall am pleased enough that I would buy it again.
