Wanted a curved treadmill that had no motor to worry about. Pros to the treadmill are easy to use, you control the speed without pushing buttons, it’s a little more quiet than a motorized treadmill, easy to move and put anywhere since you don’t need a plug in, the monitor tracks a lot of different metrics and yet it’s simple, and last it is a great cardio machine because of its manual curved design you will definitely put in more effort to use it. I moved to the midwest and there are days I don’t want to go outside so it’s a great addition to my home gym so I can get steps. As for cons I don’t have too many. I did my homework and knew what I was buying. The belt moves a bit side to side and it sounds like it’s rubbing a bit on the frame, however I think it’s just the sound of the belt folding around the bearings and belt track. I once tried one at the gym to decide if I wanted to buy one and it rubbed on the front end of the frame a bit. The one I bought doest feel like there is any resistance so I’m thinking that it’s just the individual belt plates folding. One drawback is you won’t be able to do incline, but this treadmill makes you work. Even at just a 4 mph walking pace my heart rate is at like 125-130 bpm. Setting it up was pretty easy. Just be careful to not pierce the monitor cable while installing the upper frame. I took a picture so you know what I’m talking about. There is some minor gapping around the aesthetic plastic covers that other reviewers talked about. They could do a better job with those plastic parts. I assume they come from some injection molding company so maybe they should follow up on their tolerance. It’s worse on the monitor cable side. You can compensate a little by tightening the screws on the aesthetic covers similar to lug nuts. Other than those minor flaws this is a great value treadmill! Bought it during Black Friday while it’s was marked down and got an awesome free Assault Bike with it too. Still a great product and I don’t think you would regret this addition to your home gym.

I’ve had the Elite about 6 weeks now. It took a few minutes to get the hang of it and a few runs to feel like I have it mastered. I can change pace pretty easy. I do feel like my form is improving. Running with poor form gives instant feedback in the responsiveness of the treadmill. Correct form just feels smoother to run on. Poor form feels like the treadmill is getting away from you. The freight driver unloaded the treadmill for us and the box was in good shape. Later that night when I opened everything up I discovered the plastic was broke. Customer service was easy and the replaced the broken piece without question. The email responses weren’t the fastest but they were decent. The machine was easy to put together and everything lined up just fine. Looks and works great. It is quite heavy. I was able to get mine in the basement by myself with some ingenuity, but two men would be smarter. No regrets with this purchase. High quality machine with a commercial feel. I have no doubt this will outlast me.

I’ve been looking for a curved treadmill for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and got the Assault Runner Pro. It came fast and was SUPER easy to set up! It works great! I’ve been using it everyday doing HIIT style runs on it. It saves my knees and I can run as fast as I want without having to deal with buttons or motors. The only con I’ve noticed is that the belt is heavier than most I’ve run on so it takes a second to get up to speed and takes a little slower to come down. Not a big deal, just something to think about. I think this is the best deal you can get and it’s a phenomenal product. I’m 6’2″ and 240lbs. I don’t go easy on it and consistently sprint up to around 15-17mph. It’s held up great and I’ve had ZERO issues! It comes with a 100,000 mile belt warranty. I do about 1 mile before my workouts and I workout about 3-4 times a week. I’ll never hit that many miles, lol. The next one up is lifetime warranty, but I essentially have the same thing. I recommend this to EVERYONE and even my kids love running on it!

The computer was not functioning when the treadmill arrived. I had to jump through some hoops and make a video of the issue which I thought was strange. Customer service was very nice and polite. They often would contact me to prompt me to send in the video and they helped with troubleshooting. About 2 weeks later I got a new computer and it worked right out of the box. As far as the treadmill itself goes, it took 4-5 days to get used to how my body affects the movement of the tread belt. It’s pretty fun to use now that I’m acclimated to it. I go about 5 miles a day, power walking or interval jogging. Sometimes a quick burst. Probably the best treadmill I’ve ever had and I think it will last forever. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

I love this machine. I had been looking at these for a long time and finally made the purchase. I am not a runner I’m 56 and probably 30-40 lbs overweight, so anytime I run I’m crippled for a couple of days afterwards which is hard because I work as a carpenter and have a very physical job. I’m starting with walk, jog intervals for now but even the jogging is work but not crippling. I feel like it is forcing me to run properly which translates to no pain while running and only sore muscles afterwards not pain. My wife is a serious runner ultras and weird stuff like that. I don’t think I will ever be able to catch up to her level but this is at least giving me a chance to share the same sport with her. Thank you for that.

The Assault Runner Pro is very high quality and is an incredibly well built machine. There is no wobbling or shaking even when I’m at a full sprint. It is also very quiet when in use. The display is very informative and the programming is easy to navigate. Assembly of the treadmill was very easy, and only took about 30 minutes. It is more challenging running on this treadmill than my previous motorized equipment. I’ve had to adjust my expectations of my performance but am already seeing noticeable improvements. The Assault Runner Pro is having a huge impact on my workouts.

I was debating getting one at home for months. My concerns were cost and just the size of it. I’ve now had it a few months and am very happy with it. I also have a rower and bike. The runner adds a lot of variety to my training. Love running sprints on it. Also a great way to warm up. I could not go back to a normal treadmill. Manual is just so much nicer! It comes on a big pallet. Our delivery guy wheeled it into the garage for us thankfully. Mine is in my basement gym. If you’re doing the same, here’s how I got it down there: It’s HEAVY and awkward. We hired movers to take it down the stairs for us. We took the plastic sides off the base to make it easier to grab onto. They then took the base down. Once downstairs, it’s pretty easy to move around with the wheels. Definitely recommend hiring movers for this one, the base is really a beast to. move down stairs. For walking: it’s great too. You can put a board across the handles to make a “desk” for your laptop or phone. Then you can walk + work. Only negative I can see is that it’s a little squeaky at times. Wish I could get rid of that sound.

Easily the first time I’ve enjoyed running on a treadmill. I’m usually an outdoor runner or trail runner, but I wanted something at home to do sprints and to use for training in the winter. I had never used a manual tread before so this was a bit of a risk on my part, but the reviews were hard to ignore. Assembly was simple, delivery was quick and I immediately felt a difference when trying it out. The tread was so smooth and easy to get started. I also noticed my running form was getting better. Honestly surprised at how much I’m enjoying it and I can’t wait to add another Assault product to my home soon. This one was a win!

I’ve loved my AssaultRunner but have a couple complaints. If I could give it a 9/10 I would. When I received it, the monitor wasn’t working. After some back and forth with customer service (they are often pretty slow to respond as well, but I understand staffing issues are a problem right now), they suspected the cables were faulty. It actually turned out to be a bad connection within the monitor that I couldn’t remedy. They were swift to send me new cables and a monitor though. My second complaint is similar to others – the gap between the top and bottom of the covers of the handle don’t meet perfectly, leaving an unsightly and palpable gap. The machine works great though and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

My Runner Pro is awesome! I have been wanting one for so long. I used it regularly at the gym on base (prior military) and when I retired I really wanted one for myself. It’s now in my garage and the variety it adds to my MetCons is great! I mix it in with my rower, Assault Bike Pro, and DUs. Raining – no problem. Snowing – no problem. Too cold – no problem. Too hot – no problem. I never have to worry about the elements with my Runner Pro. The only potentially less positive thing I will say is it feels like I have to put a little more effort into pushing on the track than I would on the road but hey, that’ll only make me better, right?!

I love how the treadmill functions. Unfortunately, it took a month to get to me because MainFreight misrouted the pallet. My delivery date was rescheduled three times because of this. Then, as I was assembling it, I noticed portions of the left “Assault Runner” decal were damaged. There was obvious scratching and damage on both arms, it looked like they were tossed. It came packaged very well, so the damage had to have happened before shipping. A little disappointing because one would expect to receive an expensive piece of equipment in new condition

Love the assault runner elite !! I missed the free bike that came with it sale by a week , but no sweat ! I’ve had mine for about one year now and have put over 500 miles on it with no complaints other than the minor handles not connecting perfectly which is explained in Coops review , I combatted that with the giant zip ties that came with the treadmill in packaging 🙂 great tip , so don’t break those giant zip ties when you remove them ! I’m currently training for a half marathon on mine and love it !!! The display is straightforward and the elite looks awesome !!!! Lifetime warranty is awesome also!!! Will never use a manual treadmill again

Honestly, this was more than I wanted to spend on a treadmill, but I’m so glad I got it. I got back into running a few months back and had to keep stopping for hip and knee pain. I’ve used this treadmill for six weeks now and I see a huge difference. No longer am I having to take a rest day to recover after just 3-4 miles. Now I can knock out a good 5-6 miles in back to back days without pain. This treadmill has helped me improve my form and ramp up my speed and distance without injuries. Fair warning, though, decide where you want to put it in advance (and try to avoid stairs) – even with wheels, it is HEAVY!

I did A LOT of research. This is hands down the best tread for the money. I’ve had it about a month and it is great! It’s right outside of our nursery and is quiet enough for me to use while my baby sleeps. I primarily walk on it (no running) and it’s great for that. I have a lot of orthopedic issues and so far it seems to be keeping me pain free. I was a little worried about using it to primarily walk after reading reviews, but I’m very happy. We put the tread on our second floor and my husband said it is extremely heavy. When delivered, it was left on a pallet in the driveway, so you will definitely need help getting it inside/where you plan to keep it. The biggest downside is that there is no cup holder and no option to even buy one. I wish this was different for the pro. I am going to figure out a way to build my own. If this tread is going to be in a residential setting, it needs a cup holder option. Also, we are working on a way to lock it up so kids can’t play on it. It would be good to have a way or an accessory to do this as well.

Super quality. Quiet self powered tread that provides some flex and cushion without feeling cheap or dangerous. Rugged full steel handrails and 3 cup holders. Easy to read screen, all the right information and instant start up. For me, the perfect angle to contact my foot for a practically zero impact landing, allowing me to improve my form, strengthen my calf and foot muscles without having heel impact issues. Nice wide track so no concerns about space.

  16. Helen Coly

The treadmill is very nice, and I am enjoying running on it. I have maybe 3 or 4 hours of run time on the treadmill at this point and my number one complaint is that the track has a loud squeaking/rubbing sound while running. This sound started happening on my 3rd or 4th run and it is highly highly annoying. I read some reviews online that stated this was part of the break-in process of the bearings and track and that it would go away but it still has not. If there are any suggestions or tips for how to improve the squeaking or lubricate the bearings/track that would be much appreciated!

I love it, my wife loves it and when friends use our home gym they love it too. Here’s the issue, every time I share it with friends or on social media everyone has the same rebuttal “I’ve heard the customer service is poor”. I didn’t have a great experience with this aspect of your service also, so it is hard for me to recommend, which sucks because I really believe in your product, and I’m even contemplating the assault bike, but not until I see favorable reviews on your CS. The reason I love it, in 2019 I was hit by a car and after surgery, months in a wheelchair and rehab, I was told I would probably not be able to run again. I started walking on your treadmill and now I’m running a mile every other day on it. Its crazy how much it has changed my life, seriously. I still cant run on roads due to the impact on my legs but feel great on the runner. Please sort the CS so I can recommend to friends and family!

  18. Kim Kelly

Honestly, I had no idea what a difference maker this is. I bought this to run sprints. I’ll occasionally do longer runs but mostly sprints. This thing almost forces you to have correct form. It’s incredible. It shouldn’t be called a treadmill because putting it in that category is insulting. It’s superior to any other motorized treadmill on the planet. Simple yet elegant in it’s performance. Zero regrets. Worth every penny.

  19. Alice Sandra

Treadmill is on another level. i don’t like any treadmills…except i like this one. So nice, and smooth, i really enjoy this thing…great for little things even like taking weight off back and stretching spine out, by lifting your body up off track using the handles. Also great for knee health, by walking bawards. I even like facing bacwards and sprinting but hanging on the handrails, so im weightless and just moving legs as fast as they can go, for hitting different muscles, and again, for overall knee health.

Purchased the Assault Runner and Bike during a recent flash sale. Upgraded to the Elite for the treadmill part and stuck with the pro for the Bike. Morgan Preston in their customer service department made it super easy to modify the order. Extremely happy with both pieces of equipment. Wife is an experienced runner and this was her first time on a manual treadmill. She now prefers it to a motorized one. The bike is a staple in most gyms for a reason. Assembly was straightforward. Together the two pieces of equipment totaled 500 lbs so if you are going to a down stairs basement like we did call a strong friend!

I love this equipment! It is commercial quality and pushes my workout harder and more naturally than a motorized treadmill. The blue tooth connection works great and the display panel content offers the metrics I want to track. My only complaint it’s pricey and that the display is not backlit. That would make my experience 100% But overall, I wouldn’t trade this machine for any other.
